Transforming the travel experience between Delhi and western India is the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway

The Sohna-KMP-Vadodara Expressway, the next section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, is anticipated to decrease the distance between Delhi and Gujarat in half. Presently, it takes over 18 hours to go from Delhi to Gujarat; however, with the new motorway section, it will only take about 10.5 hours. The motorway, which would link Gujarat and Haryana, intends to shorten travel times and distances between different cities.

The 1,320 km long Delhi-Mumbai Expressway connects Delhi and Mumbai while traveling through the states of Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. Phase I runs from Delhi to Vadodara, Phase II runs from Vadodara to Mumbai, and Phase III runs from Sohna to Jaipur.

Moreover, the gradual development of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway has greatly shortened the travel time between Gurugram and Dausa. Now only 2.5 hours separate Gurugram from Dausa during the travel.

The motorway is anticipated to shorten travel times between Delhi and Goa as well as between Delhi and Gujarat. Presently, it can take up to 35 hours to travel the distance between Delhi and Goa. But, if a person uses the Mumbai-Goa Expressway after using the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, they can travel 15 hours less and arrive in Goa in 20 hours. The Sohna-Vadodara segment of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, which is the second phase, is now being built. The first phase of the motorway, the Delhi-Dausa stretch, has already been opened. By the end of 2023, the expressway’s final phase is anticipated to be finished, and by the beginning of 2024, the entire route is planned to be operational.

The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway seeks to shorten travel times and distances between different cities, and it is anticipated to spur regional economic development.
